The Filipino Christmas party & Charity event was held at the Ukrainian Club in Legrams lane Bradford. A " Thanks Giving Mass" was celebrated before the Christmas party, Children's pageant "Best in Christmas Costume" won by Jushua Palaca & the rest of the kids has been given a Christmas gift distributed by Cllr. Valerie Binney & Dr. Mohammed Salam & the awarding of the winners of B-FAB & FCA Winter Sport Fest last Nov.22, 2009 by Mrs. Salam & there was an exchange gifts for children too & the DISCO! the most awaited part of the party for those who love dancing!
It was a very successful! celebration of Christmas party by the Filipino community here in Bradford. Organised by both Filipino Assn. We had performers from London, Leeds, Dewsbury, Pontefract & our very own local talents. We had VIPs from the Bradford Council the former Lord Mayor Cllr. Valerie Binney, the Deputy Lord Mayor Cllr. Naveeda Ikram & her escort & Dr. Mohammed Salam from COEMO.
The overwhelming attendance of people to our Christmas party last Saturday shows that most of us support & appreciate the unity & harmony of the two Filipino assn. here in Bradford. Christmas is all about "love & unity" for those who doesn't want to believe this you don't really know what is Christmas is all about.
We would like to thank you to all the officers who helped organised the Charity event & Christmas party, to all our performers especially to Carlos Mapano from London, Kim Galsim from Dewsbury, Narly Ling from Leeds, Zandra Flores from Pontefract & our very own performers Krizien & Kristine Centino & the ISBUK band especially to Fred Magay who lend us his speakers & gadgets to Joel Durano who played the drums & Joel Oliveros who lend his Sound System & Fr. Canice McGinn who said the "Thanks Giving Mass".
