There will be more space, more stalls, more performers and certainly more FUN.

The British Filipino Association of Bradford ( BFAB ) Dancers will be performing on stage as well as other singers and dancers from around the area.

There will be a morning Tagalog Mass followed by a Reception with Deputy of Mission Rey Catapang, Consul General Leo Herrara-Lim, other Embassy Officials, Stockton on Tees MP Ms. Dari Taylor, Community Leaders of Stockton, Bradford, Manchester, Leeds, Middlesborough, and other areas in the north.

Attendees are requested to wear Philippine dress or shirts at the festival. There will be a contest for the "Best in Filipiniana". Age brackets are: Ages 5-10, 11-16 year olds, Adults. Prizes will be announced later.

Anyone who wishes to travel from London to our Festival, can travel on a coach with pick up points at the Westminster Cathedral and at WHSmith in Nottinghill Gate at 8am, Sunday July 8th. The coach will be travelling back on the same day, after the festival.

The coach trip (from London to Stockton and vice versa) costs £19.50 for adults and £15.50 for children between ages 5-11 years with free refreshments.

Please contact Rebecca Sarinas on 07949 857699 or Pauline on 07866 350635 for more information.

The Festival is sponsored by The Philippine Department of Tourism-London, Pinoy Travel and The Filipino Channel.

LIFE IN THE UK TEST

Hello Wilfred,

I'm doing my second charitable project and hoping that our fellow Filipinos will again support me-thus i'm asking a favour if you could let them know the details.

I'm writing a piece of software which i call MYUKLIFE. It is a knowledge test for those who will be taking Life in the UK test for Permanent Residency or Citizenship. It can be use as a reviewer which covers Chapters 2,3,4,5,6 of the Life in the UK Handbook.

The software will be finish by this week. In return, i'll be asking a
donation of minimum of £1 only for every software. The proceeds will be use to buy Scientific-Calculators which will be given to public school in the Philippines. If somebody needs the software, they can email me at this address.

The Ifixpc247 is now close as i don't have time anymore due to my line of work in
the office. My email in there is now close as well so please use this email instead. (f.abe@hotmail.co.uk)

Thanks for your support.

Best Regards,
Ferdinand Abe

(Ulat ni: Richard Buenaventura
source:www.abante.com.ph June 06, 2007 news )

www.justhelping.co.uk

Dear Friends,

Every now and then, I keep on thinking myself how I can help our fellow brothers and sisters especially children who have nothing but dreams and hope to continue their education wishing that someday they could reach their dreams and have a better life.

There was a time, I myself, looking at the starts in the sky, asking, praying that time will come, I could give my family a better life and my children not to experience the sufferings I’m fighting with. Then one day, a helping hand arrived in my doorstep. My prayers has been answered, an opportunity for me to finish my education which helped to live on for the better.

I feel that a helping hand need not to stop but continue to work to help make a difference in the lives of our children.

Justhelping.co.uk was established as my own little way to continue the chain of helping, to help the children in need, who have dreams for a better life but doesn't know how and where to begin. Let’s give them hope. Let’s give them a helping hand. Let us share our dreams to them so they can share their dreams through the next generation.

As part of my project, I have created the MYUKLIFE software to assist our friends in the UK who will take the Life in the UK exam for residency or citizenship. This software will aid as a knowledge test in preparation for the actual exam. In return, I’m asking a donation for a minimum of £1 only to be given to needed children in the Philippines. Last year, I managed to raise 4 computers which was sent to public schools. This year, my aim is to raise 1000 Scientific-Calculator again to be distributed to our public schools in the Philippines.

Today, you can make an immediate difference in the life of this children. Each donation you send will provide education materials to help them begin their new journey in life.

I hope I can count on you to help. Please send the most generous gift you can.

With grateful appreciation,

F. Abe

PS. You can send the donation by clicking the button in this page. If you wish, you can also buy a Scientific Calculator and then send it to me. If this is your intention, please send it to #16 Hillside Road, Shipley West Yorkshire UK BD18 2HT. The myUKlife software can be downloaded from this website . Once downloaded and installed in your PC, send me an email at f.abe@hotmail.co.uk and I will send you your registration code.

If you have difficulty of installing the software, send me an email and I will be happy to assist.

Note:

The Justhelping.co.uk is not yet registered through UK Charity Commission. The commission requires that Charity needs to be registered if its annual income is more than £5000. My charity projects is only once a year for specific project only and doesn’t reach this amount. It is not the policy of the Charity commission to register if it doesn't meet its minimum requirements. For more details please visit http://www.charity-commission.gov.uk
